San Francisco Sex Worker Film and Arts Fest-Schedule and Call For Entries

The schedule for the 2009 San Francisco Sex Worker Film, Arts and Music Festival is shaping up. (Scroll below) We have music and a party at El Rio, an Orgy of Shopping at the Center for Sex and Culture, a huge party at the St. James Infirmary, an educational seminar for sex workers, movies at ATA and the Roxie, a male sex worker art show “Army of Lovers” and much more! Movie submission deadlines have been extended, so send us an email and let us know that your movie is almost ready! This is the 10th anniversary, and 6th Biennial Festival! Artists, film makers, musicians and sponsors will be announced, but below is some preliminary info.

We are eager to receive movies and links to all sorts of work by AND/OR about sex workers and all kinds of sex work, US and international! We are interested in work by sex workers about other subjects as well. Please visit our site and send us a link to your movies or send DVDs for screening (but please do fill out an entry form from our site). Army of Lovers, curated by Kirk Read-Part of the Queer Arts Festival and the Sex Worker Film, Art and Music Festival and the Center for Sex and Culture to create programming that highlights work by and about male sex workers. There will be several nights of multimedia cabaret where writers, performers and filmmakers come together to showcase their work as well as visual art, music and film/video nights.
